Ruby, Marigold, and Sophie had spent the summer building their dream treehouse—a bright yellow hideaway in Ruby’s tallest oak. Today, The Golden Canopy Club was officially open, complete with balloons and surrounded by flowers. 
As they admired their work, a pink balloon slipped free, drifting higher.
"Maybe it’s carrying a wish," Ruby said.
"Or finding another treehouse," Sophie added.
"Maybe it’ll come back when we need it most," Marigold grinned.
With a toast of lemonade, they settled into their glowing little world.
